Five Cowries Poet-In-Residence

July – September 2020 

With the support of the U.S. Consulate General, Lagos and Goethe-Institut Nigeria, we are inviting a poet (based in the US) to work with us remotely between July – September 2020 to: 

• Provide poetry contributions for our Home-Learning kits
• Hold fortnightly on-line webinars with our teaching cohort. 
• Give poetry writing webinars in July and August to our audience (9 to 14 year olds) 

Poems produced will be featured in our Home-Learning Kits and distributed physically to children across Nigeria as well as online.  

We work closely with a range of public and private sector partners to raise the profile of these issues by showcasing the artwork of our young people as works of Public Art across Nigeria and around the world.
